During Los Blancos' 2-2 draw with Valencia on March 2, the England international scored seconds after the full-time whistle was blown by on-field referee Jesus Gil Manzano. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said Bellingham was sent off for yelling, "It's a f*cking goal," as he raced over to the referee. In the referee's notes, it was noted that the 20-year-old was sent off for having displayed an “aggressive attitude” towards the referee, however, Bellingham believes he is being made an example of.

Speaking to the media after drawing with RB Leipzig, Bellingham said: "I didn't say anything offensive, I didn't say anything different to what my team-mates said and I think that sometimes because I'm new they want to make an example of me.
"In the end I have to be responsible for my actions and I'm not proud, but I think two matches for that is a bit ridiculous, but if it's two matches I have to take my responsibility and I'll cheer from the stands."

It had been reported earlier that Real Madrid could defend Bellingham's case by following the defence used by Getafe to overturn Mason Greenwood's suspension for a similar incident by claiming that there was a communication error due to the player being new to the country. However, that doesn't seem to have worked out for Los Blancos.
WHAT NEXT FOR BELLINGHAM?
The English midfielder will miss Real Madrid's next two games against Celta Vigo and Osasuna but it could be a blessing in disguise for Ancelotti as the 20-year-old has seemed to run out of energy in recent games. He will return to action at the end of the month when his side take on Athletic Club at home.
