TUDN reports that the USMNT is "in negotiations" with Patrick Vieira for their head coach position. The ex-Arsenal superstar and former World Champion left his post as Strasbourg boss Thursday, meaning he is now a free agent and available to negotiate with any party.

The report revealed that LAFC's Steve Cherundolo and Columbus Crew's Wilfried Nancy are also on the ballot for the USMNT. The two respective MLS managers are deemed as "main candidates" for the role per the report.
Cherundolo revealed comments earlier in the week regarding links to the role, not exactly hiding that he's interested in it.

Among others, candidates to surface so far have included Jurgen Klopp, Luis De La Fuente and Rafa Benitez.
Klopp politely rejected U.S. Soccer's initial approach.
