With a comfortable 3-1 win over West Ham, Man City confirmed their fourth-straight Premier League title. As the league ended, Pep Guardiola's side only won the title by a slight margin of two points over Arsenal, and Rodri believes that the Gunners' draw against his side at the Etihad Stadium showed a key difference in the two sides' mentality, as Mikel Arteta set his team up to nullify Man City's attack and aimed to get the draw instead of try to go for the win.

Speaking to Optus Sport, Rodri said: "To be honest, I think it's in here [points at his brain]. It's the mentality. [There are] great players all over the league, all over the clubs.
"Arsenal also deserve [to win], they did an unbelievable season, but I think the difference was in here [points to his head again].
"When they came here, they faced us at the Etihad, I saw them and said: 'Ah, these guys, they don't want to beat us, they just want a draw.' And that mentality, I don't think we would do it the same way.
"And we caught them. In the end, if you give us one point, we will win the last seven, or eight games even though it's so tough. So I think [the title win] comes down to mentality."

Man City cruised to what was their sixth league title win in the last seven years, and Pep Guardiola's influence on the team can't be praised enough. Neither can Rodri's ability to show up in crucial games for the Citizens as the Spaniard scored nine goals and gave 14 assists and was one of City's top performers this season.
