Loads of Everton fans on Twitter are clearly split on the idea of signing loanee Djibril Sidibe on a permanent deal this summer.
The Liverpool Echo provided quotes from the 27-year-old saying he is “very, very happy” at Goodison Park following his temporary switch from Monaco last summer.
The report added that the Merseyside outfit have the option to bring the France international to the club for around £12.7m at the end of the season, with the media outlet’s official Everton Twitter account posting the story and asking supporters whether they would sign the right-back.
It’s fair to say the reaction was mixed, as you can see below.
There were certainly some who would take the defender, who has provided five assists in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees to date, with one calling him a “complete steal” and another urging manager Carlo Ancelotti to “sign him up”.
However, not everyone has been convinced by the man with 18 caps for his country, with one replying saying “a big fat no” at the prospect of sealing a summer move for the 27-year-old.

Sidibe has certainly had his good and bad games for Everton to date, and Saturday’s win against Crystal Palace where he featured on the right wing having replaced the injured Theo Walcott certainly wasn’t one of them. He was described as looking “lost at times” by The Liverpool Echo.
Perhaps that display is sticking in the minds of fans having their say now.
Others suggested that they would prefer to see Jonjoe Kenny, currently shining in a loan spell with Bundesliga outfit Schalke, get an opportunity instead.
Did he really play for us?! No Everton fan has managed to name all of these obscure Toffees players….
The 22-year-old is a local lad who has been with the club since 2006, so it is no surprise that supporters are keen to see him get a proper chance seeing as he is impressing in Germany.
One individual even couldn’t make his mind up one way or the other, saying he is still “totally 50/50” on Sidibe.
The Frenchman still certainly has a lot to prove to some of the Goodison Park faithful between now and the end of his loan spell, then.
In other Everton news, one struggling Toffees youngster can still follow in the footsteps of Holgate and Calvert-Lewin…
